Departure early in the morning by car with a driver from Marrakech heading south towards the Moroccan desert. We will cross the Tizi n Tichka pass (2260m) and then reach the Telouet Kasbah and its beautiful Ounila valley, visiting the Kasbah of Kaid Laglaoui and having lunch there. In the afternoon, descend the Ounila valley to the Ait-Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and visit the Kasbah. Afterward, depart for Ouarzazate for an overnight stay.
Meeting at 9 a.m. for departure to the Todra Gorges via the Skoura oasis and kasbahs. Then continue on a beautiful road to the west to reach the village of Boughrare and the Ait-Youl Kasbah in the Dades Valley. After lunch, continue along the winding road in the High Atlas to the Todra Gorges. Arrive at your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, depart for Mhamid via the village of Tazarine and the Berber village of N’Kob. Lunch on-site, then drive to Mhamid, stopping at the Tamgroute village to visit the Quranic library, pottery workshops, and the underground village. Then continue to the Mhamid desert gateway. At dusk, reach our bivouac. Sunset. Dinner. Overnight in nomad tents.
After breakfast, a one-hour camel ride, then departure by 4×4 on the Paris-Dakar track to the large Chegaga dunes, lunch under the shade of tamarisks. In the afternoon, back on the track to reach Erg Chegaga. Arrive at the bivouac to watch the sunset, dinner, and overnight in tents or under the stars.
Possibility to visit the nomads in the Erg Chegaga region. Overnight at the Erg Chegaga desert bivouac.
After sunrise and breakfast, depart for the return to Marrakech, passing by Iriki Lake and the Moroccan Colorado Desert, stopping at the Foum Zguid village for a coffee break. Then depart for Taznakht, a village known for Berber carpets, lunch on-site. Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
